The Activities and Spirit Coordinator creates activities and spirit on campus through the advisement of the Multicultural/Student Activities Council (MAC/SAC), management of Recognized Clubs and Organizations (RSCOs), Intramurals, and the Mascot program, as well as provides leadership to staff and student leaders to design and implement initiatives, which take place on campus, working under the general supervision of the Director of Campus Involvement. The Assistant Coach Rowing assists the head rowing coach in leading our nationally competitive NCAA DI Women鈥檚 rowing and Men鈥檚 IRA rowing programs. Track and Field Head Coach 鈥 Men鈥檚 and Women鈥檚 administers all phases of an intercollegiate track and field program. Responsibilities include obtaining advanced knowledge of throws, jumps, distance, sprints, and hurdles that has been acquired by significant experience coaching or playing in a post-secondary environment of commensurate experience; ensuring that all relevant 好色先生TV University and NCAA rules and regulations are followed, including but not limited to, student-athlete eligibility, recruiting, financial aid, scheduling, and academic progress; ensuring compliance with 好色先生TV University and NCAA rules by student-athletes and sport-related staff; promoting academic excellence, integrity, and graduation; monitoring academic progress, academic meetings, class scheduling, and attendance; teaching fundamental skills and techniques, while preparing, leading, and executing practice and competition plans for both indoor and outdoor seasons; preparing, managing, and maximizing program operating budget with established fundraising goals; providing leadership and instruction in the personal and athletic development of student-athletes; directing and managing the Track and Field program recruiting efforts of prospective student-athletes to include the following: maintain a database, host on-campus visits, initiate and respond to phone calls, emails, and mailings; selecting, supervising, and evaluating the performance of assistant coaches; ordering and maintaining appropriate uniforms, equipment, and supplies; managing team travel: including accommodation, meals, and the transportation of equipment to meets; planning, promoting, and conducting camps, clinics, and/or lessons; establishing a positive relationship with the media; establishing, maintaining, and being responsive to community and programmatic contacts; developing meaningful relationships with prospective, current, and former student-athletes; participating in fundraising, community service, and engagement programs, assigned and/or coordinated by the Department of Athletics; leading efforts to enhance the overall student-athlete experience; and seeking out and taking advantage of opportunities to serve on sport-related committees. The Zamboni Driver operates/drives an ice resurfacing machine (Zamboni) correctly and safely to ensure and maintain acceptable ice conditions, as well as helping renters as needed and maintaining it. Responsibilities include capably operating the Zamboni machine; putting down, maintaining, and repairing a quality ice surface; opening and closing the Ice Center; assisting the patrons using the Ice Center when necessary; seeing to the repair of any breakage or damages that occur in the Ice Center, that are of an emergency nature; keeping the Ice Center and locker rooms clean, especially in circumstances that not doing so would reflect badly on the general impression of the rink to a renter; shoveling and salting sidewalks and exits to maintain safe entrance and egress as needed; performing other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
